Teacher Training

Pilates Teacher Training at Amara Cor

Led by Vanessa Mayer and Vanessa del Rosario, our intimate teacher training programs are designed to provide in-depth education, hands-on experience, and personalized mentorship in a boutique setting.

About the Program

Most trainings teach you what to say. Ours teaches you how to teach.

Amara Cor is excited to announce the launch of our training program. Led by owner Vanessa Mayer and Vanessa del Rosario, our 200+ hour programs are designed to support and inspire you as you embark on your journey to become a certified Pilates teacher. You'll receive all the tools you need from two highly experienced teachers plus individualized attention in our 4 person max cohorts, something that most training programs do not prioritize.

Yes, you'll learn the exercises, the cueing, and the repertoire, but we go far beyond that. Our training is built around the why behind every exercise, so you understand the principles deeply enough to apply them with intelligence and intention, not just memorization.

That learning is supported every step of the way. Our program is built around substantial hands-on experience because there is no substitute for real time on the equipment, with real bodies, in real teaching situations. You'll have access to an exceptional program manual written by Vanessa del Rosario, who has been asked to train instructors across the country. And throughout the entire process, you'll be mentored by two experienced teachers whose combined decades in the field bring depth, nuance, and real-world wisdom to everything you learn.

By the time you graduate, you won't just have a certification — you'll have a teaching identity. You'll know why you do what you do, how to be fully present when you do it, and how to guide others in a way that is grounded, connected, and lasting.

Meet the Instructors

  • Vanessa Mayer

Owner & Lead Instructor, Amara Cor

Vanessa Mayer is the founder of Amara Cor and brings years of experience helping students build strength, confidence, and deeper connection through movement. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in intentional, personalized Pilates that meets each individual where they are.

Known for her thoughtful and supportive approach, Vanessa believes that movement should feel both challenging and empowering. She focuses on helping students understand not only how to move, but why movement matters, creating lasting progress that extends far beyond the studio.

At Amara Cor, Vanessa has cultivated a boutique environment centered on individualized attention, mindful movement, and meaningful transformation. Through teacher training, she is passionate about mentoring the next generation of Pilates instructors with depth, clarity, and real-world teaching experience.

  • Vanessa del Rosario

    Lead Instructor & Program Author

With nearly two decades of teaching Pilates, Vanessa has guided hundreds of students through transformative movement journeys, from complete beginners to seasoned practitioners. Her experience has taught her that no two bodies are the same, and no two goals are alike.

Vanessa’s approach is rooted in meeting students exactly where they are and providing the tools, confidence, and inspiration to help them grow. Whether supporting recovery from injury, building strength, or refining an established practice, she creates an experience that feels both deeply intentional and genuinely achievable.

Her classes are professional, thoughtful, and engaging, with an emphasis on movement that feels empowering and sustainable. Vanessa believes Pilates should challenge you while still bringing joy to the process — a philosophy that shapes the way she teaches and mentors future instructors.

A Second Program

Mat & Reformer Teacher Training

A contemporary Pilates education rooted in purpose, embodiment, and intelligent movement.

Learn the "Why" Behind the Movement

Most contemporary Pilates trainings focus on what to do. This program focuses on why. By building a true foundation in the classical mat and reformer systems, every movement you cue becomes intentional — backed by logic, purpose, and a framework designed to create real, measurable change in a client's body.

Without it, you're simply stringing exercises together. With it, you're teaching Pilates.

INSTRUCTORS

Led by Two Experienced Pilates Educators

The program is written and led by Vanessa del Rosario of Resonance Performance Pilates, bringing nearly 20 years of experience and over 1,000 hours of both classical and contemporary training to every aspect of the curriculum.

Assisting the program is Vanessa Mayer, owner of Amara Cor Pilates, whose expertise adds another layer of depth to the learning experience.

Together, they guide you in crafting sessions rooted in the Pilates principles — purposeful, cohesive, and creative within the framework that Joseph Pilates built.

WHAT MAKES THIS PROGRAM DIFFERENT

The Embodiment Module

What makes this program truly distinct is Vanessa del Rosario's embodiment module, the piece most trainings skip entirely.

This is where you stop learning Pilates and start learning to lead it. From cueing with clarity to hands-on adjustments to commanding a room, you'll walk away prepared to inspire.

WHO THIS PROGRAM IS FOR

Built for Future Pilates Educators

Whether you're stepping in to teach at a contemporary studio or setting your sights on a full classical comprehensive training, this program gives you the foundation for both — and the perspective to choose your path forward.
